Good: Paper Moon

Director Peter Bogdanovich worked with actor Ryan O’Neal on What’s Up, Doc?, and then enlisted the actor to play a con man who links up with a sassy kid in Paper Moon. Rather than go with a pro, Bogdanovich took a chance on O’Neal’s eight-year-old daughter, Tatum, and boy, was that a great call. Little Tatum steals the show as the potty-mouthed little grifter that gives every adult in the film a run for their money.
