8 Great Horror Games That Should Be Movies

Alan Wake

Alan Wake works as something of a cross between Twin Peaks, In the Mouth of Madness and a Stephen King story – which makes it an intriguing property for adaptation.

The story of a writer confronting his own horrific creations as he searches for his missing wife could easily be translated into a very dark thriller – and we could see a whole franchise spawning around Alan (who’s kinda unlikable in the story), his goofy agent, Barry, and all the strange events they encounter. This is a game that really felt like it should have been a movie first. Maybe Hollywood can make that happen now.
